I am a Texas gal, married to a Yankee salesman, and we are working together to raise two Southern boys. I grew up on Tex-Mex and Southern food and learned how to entertain at an early age. I fled corporate America after my oldest muffin was born to start a specialty cake business that has allowed me to combine my eye for design and love affair with food. Over the years, I have realized that cooking and feeding others is my passion and is what I love doing. I enjoy gathering friends and family around my table and sharing my heart and soul through my recipes. My recipes are approachable by cooks of all backgrounds and contain everyday food we normal folks buy. My recipes are a scrapbook of my life, each unique with it's own flavor and memory. Since my time and budget are limited, my recipes can be made by people in all walks of life, whether you are a single gal trying to impress a new beau, or are a crazy mom like me just trying to put something of substance on the table. I am just a mom, on a food mission, with a cast iron and a computer.
